IATF

The IATF (International Automotive Task Force) 16949 is a certification of a quality management system, which provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the automotive industry supply chain and assembly process. It is a common automotive quality system requirement based on the ISO 9001 standard and the first edition was published in June 1999 as ISO/TS 16949:1999. IATF 16949:2016 replaced ISO/TS 16949 in October 2016. The technical specification is implemented for all branches of manufacturers and suppliers of products or production materials, services such as heat treatment or galvanizing, and other products specified by automotive customers such as the constituent parts of vehicles.

This certification demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory, regulatory and product safety requirements. So the goal of this certification is to meet customer requirements efficiently and effectively by enhancing customer satisfaction though the effective application of the system.

A&B company continues to invest in creating a process of constant improvement, so the company begun to achieve 2 significant steps for its application on certification process according to IATF 16949:2016:

• stage n.1: dated 26.07.2022 will be held the readiness review
• stage n.2: certification audit dated has to be defined (max 90 days), tentative 7-9.9.2022.

These first steps strengthen the intention of the company to be at the top level for the customer requirements.
