Process

Technical support

Technical support is offered throughout the design phase, from the development of new products to changes made on existing products. Data import from sat format in Solidworks and Esprit system for feasibility analysis and production time evaluation of products with the simulation of the machining process.

Turning

Our multi-spindle machines include screw machines with 6 and 8 spindles able to machine diameters from Ø3 mm to Ø67 mm. Our single-spindle CNC machines department can turn a range of dimensions from 3mm to 42mm. Our cnc turning machines offer solutions to every request.

Quality control

Incoming materials acceptance and inspection, in-line checks, state-of-the-art laboratory with optical machines, profilometers and tracer points. Statistical analysis of the results and 100% inspection on turned components and products aiming at reaching zero defect productions.

Grinding

Tangential grinding of flat surfaces. Rosa machines to refine the turning process.

Washing

Perforated steel baskets for an easier chip removal. Automatic loading system, washing with modified alcohol, ultrasound cleaning and protecting agent application. Cleanliness standard of 300 micron max of metal and other particles and a degreasing / surface tension of 42 mN/m.

Logistics and Packing

Kanban system, safety and consignment stock. Automated packing handling, bulk and manual handling and packing of parts, labeling for complete product traceability.

Machinery

A&B strength lies in its cutting edge, fully equipped, new and refurbished, machinery capacity: automatic, multi-spindle and CNC turning machines for a total of 120 machines suited for the supply of high-run series production of turned components in different materials upon client’s request, and CNC single-spindle lathe machines with sliding and fixed headstock especially developed to produce samples, smaller supplies and components with complex geometries.

Metal and CNC turning

The advantage of CNC turning machining is that it allows to repeat the transformation process ensuring that the final result is always identical and error-free.
We carry out in-line quality control as well as on the incoming raw materials to ensure optimal processing. The machining process of turning improves the surface appearance and minimizes roughness. The final washing is carried out with modified alcohol or ultrasound.
Lastly, the packing process – standard or manual.
Standard packing is performed by an automatic line that folds cardboard boxes and pours metal parts in bulk before weighing them, in order not to exceed the legal limits for manual lifting. Afterwards boxes are labelled and stacked on euro pallets. Manual packing, on the other hand, is an operator-supervised operation made to preserve the surface finish of components. Positioned packaging is also available, where the operator places the precision turned parts in special blisters to avoid any damage during shipping.
